The report is, as of this writing, unconfirmed. However, it does come after reports of friction and a deteriorating relationship between Martindale and head coach Brian Daboll. The Giants’ defense was both porous and opportunistic this year, leading to big plays for both the Giants and their opponents. The Giants finished the season giving up among the most yards and points in the NFL, while also being among the league leaders in takeaways.
